General Management Internship
Interns will assist in day-to-day office activities including composing, proofreading and editing correspondences, speaking with clients at theatres and schools nationwide,
monitoring phones, preparing contracts and promotional materials, handling ticket orders, maintaining office supplies and keeping files up-to-date.
Interns will work with in-house staff and outside designers on graphic design of in-house collateral materials, direct mail pieces, customer questionnaires, regional and
national mailings, web site updating, and some light copy writing and editing.
Interns will assist the Production Manager during New York City reading, workshop rehearsals, pre-production periods, rehearsals and technical rehearsals. They will contact
venues, schools and arts centers across the U.S. for advance work. From September to May, the intern will get exposure to both the production manager and technical director
responsibilities, working closely with production, artistic, office, and touring staff. (For fall and spring only: Intern will maintain regular communication with Stage Managers,
reviewing ArtsPower paperwork, and learning tour schedules & calendar planning.)
• Interns attend all staff meetings, receive intensive training and work under the direct guidance of experienced supervisors.
• All interns will be required to perform general office tasks including answering phones, filing, and data entry.

Auditions are held at least twice a year in New York City. We post our audition calls in Back Stage. We hold auditions in September and December each season. Depending upon
what role you are eligible for, you may be asked to sing. Please be prepared with two songs that utilize both your belt and legit voices. In addition, you will be given sides to
look over briefly before your reading audition. You may be asked to return at the end of the week for a callback audition. See "Audition Tips" for more information on auditioning. We are only able to cast from auditions, so please do not mail us your headshots
and resumes. No phone calls please.
Be prepared to travel because ArtsPower is a touring theatre. Casts consist of four actors and one stage manager, and all travel in a large maxi-van with the set, sound system
and costumes. ArtsPower tours are a combination of "local" and "out-of-town" bookings.
NON-EQUITY STAGE MANAGERS
ArtsPower, a professional touring Theatre for Young Audiences company, is seeking resumes from stage managers. ArtsPower rehearses in Manhattan. All tours travel locally and
nationally. Stage Managers must have a valid driver’s license, ability to drive Dodge Maxivan, capability to get to an early morning call point in midtown Manhattan (West 57th
Street), organizational skills, and good public relations skills. Laptop computer and touring experience a plus. Each tour consists of one stage manager and four actors. Fall
tours generally begin rehearsal in September and tour through December. Winter/Spring tours generally begin rehearsal in January and tour through the end of May or the beginning
of June. ArtsPower interviews qualified candidates in Manhattan at the end of August and the beginning of September for the Fall tours and at the end of November and the
beginning of December for the Winter/Spring tours. Send a cover letter, resume, and references to: ArtsPower, Webster Commons, 271 Grove Avenue, Building A, Verona, NJ 07044.

What if I don't get cast the first time?
We encourage you to audition for us again in the future. Your persistence is appreciated!
I would love to be cast, but I don't sing.
No problem. ArtsPower's roster includes non-singing roles in our non-musicals.
